Toast of the Week (12/29/09)

header toast week1 Toast of the Week (12/29/09)

We hope you had a blessed Holiday Season and you are prepared to enter the New Year with great energy and excitement. Santa was good to both of us; I gifted Jed some new smokes that you’ll see reviewed here soon and he gave me a Burr coffee grinder, which I’ve been putting off purchasing for a couple years.

There have been some great reviews and news posted around town this week so sit back and take a bounce around to these great sites. And Happy New Year!

  • The Velvet Cigar takes on the Monte Pascoal, a 100% Brazilian cigar. We haven’t heard much about this smoke and were interested to see another Brazilian smoke surfacing. Toast it here.
  • The Stogie Guys hand out their first ever Cigar Smoker’s Friend Award, to J.C. Newman. We certainly second that motion! Toast it here.
  • Casas Fumando takes on the Punch Uppercut. A great band and sharp looking smoke, but how does Tony rate it? Toast it here.
  • Tom’s Cigars empties the wallet on the $19 Don Carlos God of Fire (2005). Was it worth the money? Toast it here.
  • And finally, another toast to one of our favorite sites, A Cigar Smoker’s Journal. Barry takes on the Illusione mj12. Cool wrapping and Barry provides some nice history on the smoke. Toast it here.
