Toast of the Week (2/16/10)
Posted by toasted on Feb 16, 2010 in Toast of the Week | 14 comments

It has been an exciting week for us – we finally got some snow! We got a grand total of 2 inches and it stuck for all of 12 hours! But we enjoyed it nonetheless. We don’t get a lot of snow in Georgia, and yet somehow my son has seen snow in his first two winters, so he’s going to start expecting it (that won’t end well)!
We also have a couple announcements – we are continuing to review coffee and you can view our new Coffee Corner here. We also have a new contest for everyone! We’ve partnered with Jameson Cigars to giveaway a box of Declaration cigars and a pound of their new coffee. See the details here.
There has been some great stuff posted around the web this week, so on to the toasts!
- Earning (and I mean earning) the top spot is Jerry Cruz’s winter blizzard cigar review for Stogie Review! Jerry braved the elements to burn the Tatuaje Boris! Toast it here.
- Drew Estate Cigar has setup a new Twitter account; over the last week or so they’ve held several contests and made new connections with us smokers. Give them a follow here.
- Gary and Hayward from Famous-Smoke review the AVO Lounge Edition ’10. Toast it here.
- Zen and the Art of the Cigar fires up one of the new buzz cigars, the La Flor Dominicana Air Bender. Toast it here.
- Fire up that Cigar smokes the Oliva Master Blends 3. Toast it here.
And, our question of the day: How did you spend your Valentine’s Day?

Drowning my blues in a cloud of cigar smoke!
I spent Valentine’s with my lady.
After lunch she took me to my favorite B&M and bought me a Dr. Pepper and a La Aurora 1903 Preferido Ruby Tubo No. 2. After smoking it I took her shopping and dinner then finished the night with a Diamond Crown Maximus #5 before….um……other things.
Needless to say it was a great day!
Did the standard super-secret chocolates + breakfast in bed… Nice!
Chocolates, house cleaning and then Dinner with Fam. It was a nice day. Oh yeah I smoked a Perdomo 10th Anniv Champage during the day.
with the lady…
We had a nice dinner and watched movies all night! Unfortunately, no smokes for me that night.
I spent the day at a friends house waiting for the power to come back on in my house. TX just isn’t built for snow. I left for a bit and went to the lounge of my B&M to give the couple some time alone.
Eating smoked ribs with my honey, then smoking a Cupido (of course).
In church then hospital with pregnant wife.
I loved the air bender! Thanks guys. It was a mild smoke, to my pallet, and tasted creamy all the way down. The sweet spot as you called it is right. Thanks…
And Vday was spent on the road. My wonderful Fiance hadn’t seen most of CA so we hit the road after dumping kids for the weekend. Traveling around lake Tahoe, she got her share of pics. Ended up staying in a little B&B in the mountains, and then headed home through the Amadore wine country outside of Sacramento.
In, um, bed…
Shared chocolates with the wife…
I spent my Valentines day exchanging gifts with my GF and making her a nice dinner at home.
Home alone, and couldn’t even have a cigar.
With my lovely wife, enjoying our favorite Thai take-out and watching the Daytona 500!
