Price always affects my cigar purchases. It’s the second thing I look at after the Brand name. If it’s too much, I move on to a different vitola or brand within my price range.

Nice review, I have yet to try any of the Cigar.com house blends.

Price does affect most of my purchases. There are times I will buy an expensive stick or box depending on available funds, special occasions or lucky rare finds but for the most part, I’m looking for the cheaper sticks.

Then again, cheap and expensive are relative terms…

I agree with DJ on this one! I will seek out pricey smokes, but they better live up to the price. If not, I don’t buy them again. Its always great to find a budget cigar that smokes like a pricey one.

Price is part of the “expectations management” equation. I will get MUCH more pleasure from a (relatively) cheaper cigar that meets/exceeds my expectations. The HIGHER the price, the HIGHER my expectations and, hence, the more chance for disappointment (and the relationship is non-linear). A ‘spensive seegar BETTER by MIGHTY fine — and better be WAY better than a good-n-cheaper substitute.

I am with Tadd, I have 2 little ones in daycare and too many hobbies. My wife keeps telling me I need to “PICK 1″. I too keep an eye on the great array of reviews available to optimize my spending.

Price plays a large role in my cigar shopping decisions. My motto is “quality over quantity”. If I read or hear good things about a new cigar, I will spend the money to try a few sticks. I tend to save my money for a few sure things (Padron, Don Pepin, etc.) rather than spend it on many mediocre sticks. It’s refreshing that there are some excellent cigars (Brick House, CAO La Traviata) on the market for a reasonable price.

Price is a very important factor to me. Have a 3 year old and daycare….. However if there is something I really want after reading reviews, I will pull the trigger and buy less…
