We have met some great folks and been introduced to some amazing micro roasters across the country. One such company is Fratello Coffee Roasters. They are out of Canada and the company is run by three brothers, who are second generation boutique coffee roasters. I’ve spoken mostly with Russ and he has been great – sharing tips on cupping and brewing and keeping us up to date with Fratello’s new offerings.

I spoke with Russ about giving away some of their coffee and he was immediately onPanama Esmeralda adj II 2 5x4 640x1024 2 187x300 Coffee Giveaway! Micro Roasted Coffee from Fratello Coffee Roasters board! So, for you today – our first coffee contest! We’ll run it through May 16.

I don’t have specific favorites but I am a member of the Gevalia coffee club and they have lots of great single bean roasts. I prefer the Royal Vinter which I’ve had about 6 boxes of. Another good one is the Brazilian Estates by Gevalia with half the caffeine which is great with an evening cigar.

My two personal favorites are Puertorrican coffee and Peruvian Organic.
