Toast of the Week (6/8/10)

The countdown has begun, as we have moved into the final trimester of the pregnancy! My wife is expecting on August 15th and we’ll welcome our second son. Still working on a name though, a lot harder than it was for #1.

JJ and I recently split a box of those little 5 Vegas Gold Nuggets, 4.5×44, and we’ve been burning the heck out of them. I’ve enjoyed them while mowing the lawn, flipping burgers on the grill, and for a quick wind down. If you’re looking for a good, quick, mild smoke (and at a great value), then this may be the ticket. You can get a box of 30 for around $70 and there is an upgrade option for $7, which gives you 12 more sticks. You can view the deal here at CI.

I’m feeling toasty today, so here are a few more toasts than normal! Some great stuff popped up this past week.

  • I’ve been enjoying a new website lately. Cigar Reader is a meticulously composed site, with a nice mixture of news and reviews. Toast it here.
  • Barry from A Cigar Smoker has a review of the new Camacho Ramones Criollo. Toast it here.
  • Nice Tight Ash has an awesome contest going right now. Win a box of the new La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Tabaqueros. Toast it here.
  • Puffing Cigars has a great interview with Bryan White of 13th Floor Cigars. Bryan’s new cigar line just launched a few weeks ago. Toast it here.
  • Fire Up That Cigar takes on the CAO Lx2. Toast it here.
  • The Cigar Inspector takes on the Tatuaje J21 Reserva. This was his first Tatuaje, ever! Toast it here.

I was debating about a 5′er of the nuggets. Might just need to get one to sample. -Thanks!
