The story of Casa Miranda continues with a new chapter. The Casa Miranda Chapter Two from Miami Cigar is a superb follow up to the Chapter One. Made at My Father Cigars S.A. the Casa Miranda Chapter Two is a cigar that is sure to delight fans of both Casa Miranda and My Father cigars. Sweet with lots of cocoa and sugar cane flavor, this is a flavorful little cigar. This is a a great everyday cigar that goes great with a post dinner cappuccino.

Pre-Light: The Chapter Two has a beautiful yellow and burgundy band that would look just as good as a wine label as it does on this cigar. There is a chocolate brown color to the cigar’s wrapper with just a slight reddish tint to it. There are no really prominent veins or seems to the cigar. A nice triple cap tops off this great looking little cigar.

The Casa Miranda Chapter Two has a barnyard and natural tobacco scent to the wrapper. Cocoa and sweet tobacco aromas can be detected from the unlit foot. A slightly tight pre-light draw lets through sweet tobacco flavors.

Burn: The Casa Miranda Chapter Two Robusto has a good draw that lets through a fair amount of sweet smoke. This is an extremely well constructed cigar with a razor sharp burn line and holding a nice white ash very well. The Chapter Two is a slow burning cigar.

Flavor: There is an instant burst of sweetness to the first few puffs of the cigar. Sugar cane, herbs and grass are the main flavors during the first third of the Casa Miranda Chapter Two. There is a a mixture of sweetness and spice on the retrohale. A slight hint sweet cocoa enters into the existing sugar cane and herbal flavors. Entering the final third the sweet cocoa and coffee takes over with background hints of leather, nuts and hay. The sweetness to this cigar is quite pleasing.

Overall: The Casa Miranda Chapter Two Robusto is a great little cigar. It is very sweet with cocoa, sugarcane and grass being the main flavors throughout. There may not be a lot of development to the flavors, but it makes the Chapter Two robusto no less enjoyable a cigar. Like most everything coming out of the My Father factory, the construction in the Casa Miranda Chapter Two is superb. I’ve only had this cigar in the one size, but I have a feeling in a toro the Chapter Two would be really spectacular. Fans of cigars with sweet chocolatey profiles will enjoy definitely enjoy this cigar. Personally, I plan on picking some of these up to add to my collection on my next trip to my local brick and mortar tobacconist. This is one of those good everyday cigars.

Pairing: This is a cigar that pair extremely well with a cappuccino or cup of hot chocolate. When pairing it with alcohol a Camus Cognac is will really compliment the Chapter Two well. For the scotch drinker a dram of Tobermory 10, Glenmorangie 10, Isle of Arran 12, Bunnahabian 12 or Jura Prophecy will all pair nicely with this cigar. The one thing I would avoid is wine because the acidity will drown out some of the Casa Miranda Chapter Two’s sweetness.
