Toast of the Week (4/23/16)

Toast of the Week (4/23/16)

Hey everyone,

I hope you’ve all been smoking some great cigars. Around here things have been a little crazy. Personally, getting married, my day job  and the flooding in Houston have been taking up a lot of my time and look like it will likely do so until C.A.T.S. Fest in May. I just thought I’d give you guys a heads up, in case you’r wondering why there’s been a slight slow down in the amount of new content hitting the site.

As for our Why I Love Cigars Contest winners, I still have not heard from the 1st and 2nd place winners. I will email them one final time. and if I don’t hear back by May 1st, we’ll be moving the prize winners up a couple spaces. It seems the only fair thing to do.

So here’s what’s happening around the cigar media world this week.

  • CigarHunk.com is a new site dedicated to educating new smokers and to product reviews, and I like what they’ve done so far. They listed some of their favorite cigar blogs this week and ToastedFoot.com was on the list. I’m honored that we made the list. There’s some good sites one there. They’re missing a few of my favorite sites, but it’s not my list. So, we toast CigarHunk.com for joining the cigar media world, and promoting others in the media industry. Check out the article here.
  • Our good friend Aaron Loomis recently left Blind Man’s Puff, to start up a new site along with co-founder Jiunn Liu. Their new site DevelopingPalates.com will definitely be a cigar media site to watch over the coming years. Loomis and Jiunn are good guys and we wish them all the best in their new venture. We toast to their new site and its success.
  • Over at Cigar-Coop.com there’s a new review of the Southern Draw QuickDraw Connecticut worth reading. Check out Coop’s QuickDraw review here. Coop write some excellent reviews, and the QuickDraw Connecticut is one of many on the site. If you’re interested in doing a little compare and contrast, our review of the same cigar will be up later this week. We toast Coop for his excellent review and Southern Draw for making another excellent cigar.
  • On a retailer note, there’s lots of new cigars available on the recently redesigned SmokeInn.com. Our friend Abe at Smoke Inn has been a big supporter of ToastedFoot.com, as well as the rest of the cigar media industry. It’s hard not to find what you’re looking for on SmokeInn.com. We toast Smoke Inn for their amazing selection and suggest you check out their site.

All the best,

Jonathan David (@JonDavid1210)
