How We Got Started:
We launched Toasted Foot in November of 2009 after moving from a blog format. As we prepared to buy our domain, we held a contest that allowed our readers to choose our site name. After some excellent suggestions, we chose Jerry K’s suggestion and Toasted Foot was born! Since our start was fueled by reader support, we hope that our website will continue to be a place of welcome for our friends and readers across the world.

Who We Are:
Outside of guest reviews, all of the interviews and reviews you read on this website will be composed by the two of us, two good friends that enjoy toasting the foot of cigars while catching up on life. The balance in our reviews comes from our different tastes and budgets. JJ prefers to toast the foot of medium-full cigars on a moderate budget, while MM prefers the mild-medium variety on a tighter budget. We are both married (for 5 + years) and call the South our home. We try to review once a week together (JJ’s garage in the winter, MM’s backporch in the summer) and fill in the rest of our reviews here and there.

We’ve had a couple opportunities to be panelists for Smoke Magazine (Summer and Spring issues, 2010) and we often pop up on Famous Smoke Shop’s Cigar Advisor website as well – so we get out of the house on occasion. Oh, and if you want to know why we love cigars so much, click here.

What We Do:
Together, we hope to create a balance that you can relate to. Here is our posting schedule:

• Mon/Wed/Fri – Cigar Reviews, with Wednesday highlighting boutique cigars
• Tuesday – Toast of the Week, we look around the blogosphere and highlight great content
• Thursday – Coffee of the Week, we try and review a different coffee each week
• Weekends – Miscellaneous, reserved for interviews, additional reviews, and related content
