Illusione Cruzado Cigar
Cigar Review: Illusione Cruzado (2017) Churchill

Over the years, Dion Giolito’s Illusione Cigars has released several cigars bearing the Cruzado name. These cigars variations on the original Illusione core line. Giolito gave the new Cruzado blend an updated look. The Illusione Cruzado is a flavorful medium bodied cigar that is a Nicaraguan puro, making use of a Corojo Rosado wrapper with a mix of Criollo and Corojo filler.

Cigar Review: The T. Toro by Caldwell

Matt Booth, Robert Caldwell and AJ Fernandez are all accomplished cigar makers on their own. Bringing the three of them together is similar to bringing together the 1992 Olympic Basketball “Dream Team,” and the result is definitely a winner. The cigar that comes from this collaboration bears the name The Truth or simply “The T.”, and is truly a great medium bodied cigar coming from AJ Fernandez’s factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.

Top Ten Connecticut Cigars
Toasted Foot's Top Ten Connecticut Cigars

The last few years, many new cigars have been released that have brought new life to the Connecticut shade category of cigars. Instead of simply being mild cigars lacking in flavor that are primarily for novice cigar enthusiasts, these new cigars are complex mild to medium bodied cigars that can be enjoyed by both the novice and the seasoned cigar enthusiast. Many of these new breed of Connecticut cigars are coming from boutique companies that have, until now, been know for fuller bodied cigars.

Southern Draw Jacob\
Cigar Review: Southern Draw Jacob's Ladder Toro

Southern Draw Cigars has been making some great cigars over the past few years, including the Kudzu and Rose of Sharon, but now this veteran owned boutique brand’s newest cigar may be its best. Featuring a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper from Lancaster County, the Southern Draw Jacobs Ladder pay tribute to owner Robert Holt’s son Jacob, while keeping with the flowering plants theme among the core line of cigars. This full bodied cigar is sure to be one of the company’s most sought after cigars.

Toasted Foot's Top Ten Cigars of 2017

Like last year, this Top Ten is wholly a solo endeavor on my part. These are simply my opinion of what are the best cigars that were reviewed on the site in 2016. Only cigars with published reviews on the site within the last year were eligible to make the list. As always, it’s important to rememberer that this list is entirely subjective, and is based on my own personal palate and preferences.

Toasted Foot’s Most Fascinating People in the Cigar Industry 2016

Two year’s ago, while watching the Barbara Walters special, I jokingly posted a list of my Most Fascinating People in the Cigar Industry to Facebook. When my buddy Jorge (who made last year’s list) saw it, he pointed out that in an expanded form it would make a great feature for ToatedFoot.com. One year later, our first annual Most Fascinating People in the...
