Southern Draw Firethorn toro Cigar
Cigar Review: Southern Draw Firethorn

A lot of boutique cigar companies seem to be popping up in Texas. Founded by US Veterans with a Southern flare, the Southern Draw theme seems to be the perfect fit for a company from Texas. The Firethorn is the second cigar from Southern Draw Cigars, and is manufactured at A. J. Fernandez’s Tabacalera Fernandez located in Estelí, Nicaragua.

EP Carrillo 5 Year Anniversary Cigar (EPC)
Cigar Review: EP Carrillo 5 Year Anniversary

To celebrate five years of EPC Cigars Ernesto-Perez Carrillo has released the EP Carrillo 5 Year Anniversary cigar. It manages to be reminiscent of other Carrillo cigars while being something special at the same time. Everything about the 5 Year Anniversary is impressive. Fans of Carrillo cigars will certainly find it worth the money.

Joel Sherman 75th Celebration cigar by Nat Sherman
Cigar Review: Joel Sherman 75th Celebration by Nat Sherman

Joel Sherman is one of those men in the cigar industry that you can’t help but like. As the son of legendary tobacconist Nat Sherman celebrates his 75th year, it seems only appropriate that the company honor him with a cigar bearing his name. The Nat Sherman Joel Sherman 75th Celebration is a cigar worthy of carrying Joel’s name. It is a superbly constructed mild-medium bodied cigar that is full of flavor. Since it comes in boxes of ten, this is a great cigar to give as a gift to the mild cigar smoker.

Tatuaje Pudgy Monsters
Cigar Review: Tatuaje Pudgy Monsters

The much anticipated follow up to Pete Johnson’s Little Monsters is the perfect Halloween treat. The Pudgy Monsters box is the only place to get your hands on the older blends in the Monster Series, albeit in a smaller size. Each box contains contained ten cigars: 1, Frank, 1 Drac, 1 Face, 1 Wolf, 1 Mummy, 1 Jason, 2 Chucks and 2 Tiffs. Since the cigars can only be purchased by the box, we decided to do something different and review (in short form) each of the cigars in one big review.

La Aroma de Cuba Noblesse by Ashton Cigars
Cigar Review: La Aroma de Cuba Noblesse

Sometimes hotly anticipated cigars fail to live up to the hype, but that is definitely not true of the La Aroma de Cuba made for Ashton at the My Father Cigar Factory in Nicaragua. The Noblesse is the first limited edition cigar released by Ashton. A medium bodied full flavored cigar, the Noblesse is one that can be enjoyed by a wide variety of cigar enthusiasts.

Viaje Cache 2014 Cigar
Cigar Review: Viaje Cache (Both Versions)

Viaje released several new impressive cigars at this year’s IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas (see my earlier Viaje Satori and Viaje Collaboration 2014 reviews), and the Cache is yet another good cigar to add to the list. There are actually two version of the Cache; the rounded one at the top of the box and a box pressed version hidden at the bottom of the box. Rather than write up each cigar in seperate reviews, it seemed to make more sense to combine both into a single post.
