Cigar Review: La Aroma de Cuba Noblesse


Sometimes hotly anticipated cigars fail to live up to the hype, but that is definitely not true of the La Aroma de Cuba made for Ashton at the My Father Cigar Factory in Nicaragua. The Noblesse is the first limited edition cigar released by Ashton. A medium bodied full flavored cigar, the Noblesse is one that can be enjoyed by a wide variety of cigar enthusiasts.

Viaje released several new impressive cigars at this year’s IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas (see my earlier Viaje Satori and Viaje Collaboration 2014 reviews), and the Cache is yet another good cigar to add to the list. There are actually two version of the Cache; the rounded one at the top of the box and a box pressed version hidden at the bottom of the box. Rather than write up each cigar in seperate reviews, it seemed to make more sense to combine both into a single post.

Erik Espinosa has been making cigars for some time now, but outside of Florida his cigars haven’t caught on the way they should. The new Laranja should change all that. It is a cigar with a lot going for it. With a it’s full flavor and medium body, the Laranja is a cigar that is sure to win over cigar enthusiasts to the Espinosa brand. This is definitely Erik’s best cigar release to date.

This year has seen a major rebranding effort at Miami Cigar and Company to celebrate their 25th anniversary. The Nestor Miranda Collection is taking the place of the old Special Selection line. It’s being released in a Habano, a Connecticut and a Maduro that are all made by My Father Cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua. The full flavored Connecticut blend really stands out due to it’s incredible mix of flavors. The Nestor Miranda Collection Connecticut is one the most complex Connecticut cigars on the market right now.

Normally, Willy and I do not review the same cigar in different sizes because it would just become a bit redundant. (Willy generally picks sizes that appeal to him personally. I try to try a bunch of sizes and pick the one that best fits that cigar blend.)
