Quesada Selección Espana H-Town Lancero from Stogies of Houston
Cigar Review: Quesada Selección España H-Town Lancero

Any fan of the lancero vitola has probably heard of the H-Town Lancero Series from Stogies World Class Cigars (especially if they are regular readers of ToastedFoot). Stogies’ owner Jorge Ahued is one of the biggest devotees to the lancero vitola, and has a series of exclusive lanceros that can’t be found anywhere else. The fourth installment in the H-Town Lancero Series is the Quesada Selección España, and it is a very impressive cigar.

Southern Draw Kudzu
Cigar Review: Southern Draw Kudzu Gordo

One day while hanging out at Stogies of Houston, I ran into Robert Holt from Southern Draw Cigars. After a very long conversation, I had the chance to try the Southern Draw Firethorn (which made our 2014 Honorable Mention List) and was quite impressed. A few weeks later when the cigars arrived at the shop, I picked up the Southern Draw Kudzu and was blown away. It was full bodied with some strong flavors, and just the thing I like to smoke at the end of a long day.

Fratello H-Town Lancero from Stogies World Class Cigars
Cigar Review: Fratello H-Town Lancero (Stogies Exclusive)

Between Jorge Ahued and Willy Style, I have rediscovered a love of lancero cigars. I still like my larger churchills and 6” x 58s, but I am smoking more and more lanceros due in large part to the awesomeness of the H-Town series. It seems with each successive release in the H-Town series the cigars just keep getting better. The new Fratello Lancero is even better than the previous two releases (the Room 101 Namakubi Ecuador and the Alec Bradley Nica Puro). Full flavored and medium bodied, the Fratello H-Town Lancero is a great cigar.

Illusione Pactum cigar Smoke Inn Microblend Series
Cigar Review: Illusione Pactum (Smoke Inn Microblend)

Smoke Inn’s latest edition to its Microblend Series is also one of its most limited, with only 400 total boxes being released. Only 400 boxes are being made for this series starting with a release of 200 boxes in December and 200 in January, 2015. The idea of a collaboration between Dion and Abe is one that was exciting, and has yielded a result that meetings both men’s exacting standards.
