Crowned Heads Yellow Rose Cigar
Cigar Review: Crowned Heads Yellow Rose

Crowned Heads was the Cigar Media Association’s Brand of the Year in 2014. It’s not very hard to see why to anyone whose smoked their recent releases, and the Yellow Rose is another great cigar from the company. Following the release of Tennessee exclusive Tennessee Waltz and the Hawaii exclusive Paniolo Especiale, the Yellow Rose will be available exclusively in the State of Texas. Many at the My Father factory in Nicaragua, the Yellow Rose is an impressive cigar that is sure to be much sought after by collectors and regular smokers alike.

Nat Sherman Panamericana 2015 TAA
Cigar Review: Nat Sherman Panamericana TAA 2015

AFew cigar brands have the sense of class and timelessness that the Nat Sherman brand does, but for a long time cigars had become an afterthought to the company. Yet, when the company refocused it’s efforts on cigars (in what some call the Michael Herklots era), the results have been very impressive. The Nat Sherman Timeless, Timeless Nicaragua, Sterling and Joel Sherman 75th have all been wonderful releases with high ratings here on ToastedFoot, so when Nat Sherman announced the Panamericana as a TAA release I was looking forward to it.

Cigar Review: Henry Clay Tattoo

Perhaps one of the most eagerly awaited cigars of 2015 is the Henry Clay Tattoo, a collaboration between Pete Johnson of Tatuaje and Altadis USA. Pete has said in the past that Henry Clay was one of his favorite brand names and his favorite Altadis product, so it only makes sense that this is the cigar brand that Johnson became involved with. While, until now, Johnson has worked almost exclusively with the Garcia family, the Henry Clay Tattoo is being made in the Dominican Republic by Altadis.

WIYH Robert Holt of Southern Draw Cigars
What's In Your Humidor?: Robert Holt of Southern Draw Cigars

Southern Draw Cigars may be a relative “newcomer” to the cigar industry, but they’ve been quickly catching on with average smokers and avid cigar enthusiasts alike. The Southern Draw Firethorn even captured a sport on our Honorable Mention List for 2014. This veteran owned cigar brand with cigars manufactured at AJ Fernandez’s factory in Nicaragua was the brainchild of Robert Holt, who I’ve been luck enough to get to know over the past two years and call a friend.

Espinosa Murcielago Cigar
Cigar Review: Espinosa Murcielago Nocturne

In 2009, Erik Espinosa and Eddie Ortega’s EO Brands started the recent Mexican San Andres trend with the release of the Don Pepín blended Murcielago. Since that time, Erik and Eddie dissolved their partner and then went on to pursue their separate projects. Although Pepîn kept the blend, Espinosa kept the name. For years, Erik has been trying to (for lack of a better way of putting it) “reverse engineer” the original blend.
