Don Pepin Garcia 15th Anniversary Cigar
Cigar Review: Don Pepin Garcia 15th Anniversary LE Toro

To celebrate the 15 years since the launch of his original Don Pepin Garcia brand, My Father Cigars has released the Don Pepin Garcia 15th Anniversary. It’s hard to believe that it’s only been 15 years since Garcia released his namesake cigar brand, because Don Pepin’s cigars helped to launch the trend toward full bodied peppery Nicaraguan cigars that are so popular now. Coming in two sizes (robusto and toro), the Don Pepin Garcia 15th Anniversary is limited to 2,000 boxes of 14 individually coffined cigars of each size.

Cigar Review: Toraño Vault W-009 Toro

Now under the supervision of Jack Toraño, since General Cigar Co. acquired the Toraño Family Cigar Company, the brand has had some great new releases such as the new Toraño Exodus. In the past, the Toraño Family had released cigars based on the family’s 34 year old blend book started in 1982 by Carlos Toraño, Sr., such as the Toraño Vault A-008. Jack Toraño and the General blend team reworked some of these original blend recipes. The Toraño Vault W-009 is one of these re-envisioned blends...

Southern Draw Jacob\
Cigar Review: Southern Draw Jacob's Ladder Lancero

Our 2017 Cigar of the Year, the Southern Draw Jacob’s Ladder, is now available as a lancero! Just like the toro vitola that earned the top spot on our Top Ten Cigars of 2017 List, the Jacob’s Ladder Lancero is a full bodied cigar that features a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper from Lancaster County, and is a fitting addition to the Jacob’s Ladder line.

Caldwell Cigars the T
Cigar Review: The T. Toro by Caldwell

Matt Booth, Robert Caldwell and AJ Fernandez are all accomplished cigar makers on their own. Bringing the three of them together is similar to bringing together the 1992 Olympic Basketball “Dream Team,” and the result is definitely a winner. The cigar that comes from this collaboration bears the name The Truth or simply “The T.”, and is truly a great medium bodied cigar coming from AJ Fernandez’s factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.

Top Ten Connecticut Cigars
Toasted Foot's Top Ten Connecticut Cigars

The last few years, many new cigars have been released that have brought new life to the Connecticut shade category of cigars. Instead of simply being mild cigars lacking in flavor that are primarily for novice cigar enthusiasts, these new cigars are complex mild to medium bodied cigars that can be enjoyed by both the novice and the seasoned cigar enthusiast. Many of these new breed of Connecticut cigars are coming from boutique companies that have, until now, been know for fuller bodied cigars.
